Ten Ring
We are a Minnesota non-profit corporation interested in helping the youth of America through training and the sponsorships of many diverse activities. Most of what we do is centered on the outdoors and all it has to offer. During events we attempt to introduce “Living History” into many of our activities, this gives everyone a better understanding of who they are and how we all came to this point in history. We specialize on all aspects of the shooting sports from sling-shots to archery to firearms of all types. Our main focus is on safety and we will not compromise safety for any reason. This is the reason we concentrate on training not only for the youth but for their leaders as well. Our staff is highly trained in their disciplines and are constantly furthering their own education so to improve the training we deliver. Ten Ring was honored at the 2010 BSA Northern Star Council's Venturing awards dinner with an Envision Adventure Award. We would like to thank the Council for the recognition and were pleased to be able to work with them to deliver programs that the youth enjoy.
The 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in America has come and gone and Northern Star Council had a huge event to celebrate. This, as most of you know was "Star Camp" held up at Stearns Scout Camp.
Ten Ring was asked to arrange for all the shooting sports activities. And we had a bunch of different activities planned for this historic event. Those scouts that showed up had a fantastic time. The T-Rex and Dragon along with all the other critters at the Archery range were definitely down for the count, more than once! The rodents on the 22 range also suffer a great defeat. We also got word that a heard of Woolly Mammoths was taken down by Scouts launching Atlatls. Some of the other shooting events the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Ventures, Explorers and Sea Scouts participated in were BB-Gun Shooting, Hawk Throwing, Muzzleloading Percussion and Flintlock Rifle Shooting, and for those older co-ed scout groups Handgun Shooting.
