Scouts... We're also offering the Rifle Shooting Merit Badge
The flyer for this class can be downloaded here.
Once more this spring we, Ten Ring with Beaverbrook Sportsmen's Club in East Bethel, are providing the complete Rifle Shooting Merit Badge, and if the scout has a partial we can also help them finish.
Some of the details:
- This is a Scouts BSA Merit Badge class, please no Cub or Webelos Scouts.
- The class is offered on three different Saturday’s, April 1st, 15th and 29th; you need to choose only one day and patrol.
- The class starts at different times depending on the patrol and will take approximately three hours to complete.
- This Merit Badge Class will be held at Beaverbrook Sportsmen's Club in East Bethel, an interactive link to a Google Map has been provided here, and on our Resources page.
- The Scouts start in the classroom with a review of their merit badge workbook requirements and then they demonstrate safety when handling rifles and also how to clean a rifle.
- Only then do they move to the range to shoot the required targets.
- The Scout needs to come to the class with a current Rifle Shooting Merit Badge Pamphlet (book), a signed merit badge card, a signed permission slip and ready for some outdoor shooting!
- Each day we have five patrols of six scouts. See the table below.
